Robert "Bob" Earl Reum

Robert "Bob" Earl Reum, 88, of South Bend, IN, passed away on October 2, 2023 at Brentwood at Niles.

Bob was born on June 23, 1935 in Niles, MI to Robert and Olive (Dunneman) Reum.

On March 2, 1996 in South Bend, he married Jacqueline Harvey-Reum who survives. Also surviving are his son, Robert W. (Curt Manchester) Reum of Davis City, IA; brother, Gordon Reum of Niles, MI; sister, Edie (David) Hulett of Niles, MI; nieces, Diane (Scott) Powers of Niles, MI and Christine (Russ) Blake of Melvern, PA; nephew, David (Renee) Hulett of Niles, MI; as well as numerous cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Barbara Reum.

Bob proudly served in the United States Navy, where he was an airplane mechanic.

He was a millwright for many years, starting his career at Kawneer and ending his career at New Energy.  Bob was a member of The Elks in Niles and enjoyed watching NASCAR and University of Michigan football.

A Private Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m. (EST) on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
